As the crackling of the inverse wormhole generator's field died down, Charles Darwin stretched.
"That thing is too small"
He scratched his beard as he surveyed the city he had just been dropped into, he knew the basic layout, and was given a map by whoever was running this thing. Darwin knew that he had to fight someone, or something, and was not happy about it, as he had seen some of the other contestants while he was at the facility.

After adjusting his suit Darwin moved out of the alleyway he appeared in and out onto the street. A four lane divided highway overlooking the sea. After surveying the road he spotted something out of the ordinary, even though it felt like it was 90 degrees, someone had built a snowman at the end of the block. As Darwin carefully moved closer to investigate he noticed that the snowman was not normal, it has a sculpted mouth with what looked like icicles for teeth, deep holes for eyes, and large chunks of ice for arms that ended in large claws.
"Who made this?" he wondered aloud, "I'd bet that creepy looking kid I saw at the facility."

Just then the snowman gathered it self up and out of its mouth spewed something that looked like slush. The slush arced at Darwin as he barely dodged out of the way, but a small bit splashed onto Darwin's arm. It was extremely painful, and so cold Darwin's suit cracked and broke where he was hit.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable." Murmured Darwin as his skin sprouted fur and thickened, "Let's see how adaptable you are."

The snowman spewed more slush, but Darwin easily dodged most of it. Darwin laughed as he brushed some slush from his now thick fur.

"That trick will not work again."

Darwin's left hand began to twist and contort and finally became a large blade. The two combatants charged at each other. Darwin stabbed his blade trough the snowman's chest as he ducked under a slash from the creature's right claw. The snowman roared, it sounded like someone dragging their nails on a chalkboard and a hiss rolled into one hateful sound, and bit down into Darwin's shoulder.

Darwin slashed at the monster and twisted away, he was bleeding pretty badly and some of the snowman's teeth had broken off in his shoulder. Darwin pulled out the icicles as his shoulders expanded and hardened into bone plates, and his right hand became a large wicked claw. He charged and with his new weapon pulled a chunk from the snowman's torso, and slashed it through its neck. But the snowman was ready, and it re-froze its neck while Darwin's blade was halfway through, although it still had a chunk of its body missing where Darwin's claw had slashed it, the snowman managed to swipe its claw up Darwin's chest.

A fountain of blood erupted from Darwin, and covered the snowman, his blood freezing the instant it hit, Darwin slumped to the ground, unconscious his left hand still in the snowman's neck. The snowman reached down to Darwin's head almost casually, and ripped it from his shoulders. The snowman examined Darwin head for a second, and then it then reached up with its free claw and pulled Darwin's nose from his face, and placing it where its own would be. The nose froze almost instantly as the snowman dropped Darwin's head and removed his blade from its neck.
